World bank report ranked Odisha’s capital city Bhubaneswar in third place on category of easiest place to do business in India. Ludhiana ranked number one and Hyderabad number 2 on category of easiest place to do business in India.
As per the report Hyderabad best for enforcing contracts, raising insolvency, Bhubaneswar best place to trade across border, Gurgaon easiest to register property, New Delhi best place for starting a business, and Bengaluru the easiest place to get construction permits. Surprisingly Narendra Modi ruled Gujarat’s Ahmedabad ranked fifth in this report.
India continues to be among the most difficult countries to do business in, according to a World Bank-International Finance Corporation (IFC) study titled.Doing Business 2013. Among the 185 countries where the study was conducted, India ranks 132nd in terms of ease of doing business, while Singapore remains at the top for the seventh year in a row.
The report, Doing Business 2013: Smarter Regulations for Small and Medium-Size Enterprises, released on Tuesday, assesses regulations affecting domestic firms in 185 economies and ranks the economies in 10 areas of business regulation, such as starting a business, trading across borders, and resolving insolvency.
